Jeep has let us know that the next year the first pre-production copies of a plug-in hybrid version of the Renegade is expected to build. That stekkerversie of the Renegade is Jeep referred to as the Renegade Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle, PHEV. The final production version will be out in early 2020.
The Renegade PHEV is just like the already well-known Renegades and the Fiat 500X and built in FCA's factory in the Italian Melfi. Jeep says that more than 200 million euros invested in the launch of the Renegade PHEV. Specifications the powertrain keeps the Jeep just under the cap.
