New York / USA, March 2, 2015
The SCG 003 ( SCG Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus stands for ) is the third sports / racing car project of the New York tycoon James Glickenhaus. It is confirmed that the latest work will participate in this year's 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. The racing version of the SCG 003 is powered by a Honda V6 engine with 3.5 liter displacement and twin turbochargers, which brings it to 530 hp and 700 Newton meters. The car should be on 18 - inch rims that weigh 1,350 pounds and have a weight distribution of 49:51.
Road version in several variants
The Glickenhaus SCG 003 is a Le Mans prototype visually and technically not dissimilar and should be to have as a street version in several stages. Different engines of a twin-turbo V6 to V12 biturbo engine will be available for selection. Accurate data about the offered variants drive called Glickenhaus but not yet. It is only the question of the road and the race version will differ only slightly. Glickenhaus speaks of a " modern, easy-to-propelled racing car with downforce and torque levels that we have not yet seen in the world of supercars like that."
Expensive sports equipment
Glickenhaus intends to implement the SCG-003 project a " less is more " philosophy. The car is built around an on-site carbon monocoque around and has three integrated wing. The dimensions are those of the Ferrari Dino Competizione 1967 same. The street version of the SCG 003 will start at about 2.2 million euros. The racing version will cost almost a million more. Earlier projects Glickenhaus, the transformation of a 1967 Lola T70 Can-Am race car in a street-legal supercar and the built by Pininfarina and 660-hp single piece Ferrari P4 / 5, for almost three million euros was the New York commission .
