Aston Martin DB11 Volante: Fine air-train

A Surprise, it is not really: Aston Martin represents the closed-DB11 now the open-top Volante. Connoisseurs of the brand know, of course, immediately, the "Volante" (Italian for "flying fast") has always been in the convertible version.

First of all, with eight-cylinder

Under the hood of the Aston Martin DB11 Volante is a four-liter twin-turbo V8, the Mercedes-AMG is equipped. Performance data: 510 HP and 675 Newton metres between 2,000 and 5,000 Rpm. After 4.1 seconds to 100 km/h are achieved, with a maximum of 300 km/h are possible. The work assumes an eight-speed automatic. It remains to be whether Aston Martin will hand over the twelve-cylinder from the DB11 coupe.

Lighter thanks to Aluminium

The DB11 Volante uses a body structure made of aluminum, the weight is reduced to about 1.8 tonnes. In terms of dimensions, the width of 1.95 meters is particularly noteworthy, with the addition of a length of 4.75 meters and a height of 1.30 meters. If someone wants to use the DB11 Volante as a family car for the First time, there are rear Isofix mounts. The driver can, in turn, offers a heated steering Wheel.

Colorful Diversity

You should have 199.000 euros for the DB11 Volante, there is a choice of three soft top colors: dark red, black and "Grey Silver". The eight-ply cloth cap opens electrically in 14 seconds, the closing process requires 16 seconds. Both are up to a speed of 50 km/h are possible. The re-designed roof system also allows for 20 percent more trunk volume. The first Aston Martin DB11 Volante will be delivered in spring 2018.(rh)
