The new Fiat in bus format

Frankfurt am Main, March 30, 2016

Fiat has the Scudo in the program so far in the VW bus class. Other manufacturers are the vehicles of this size called Opel Vivaro, Renault Trafic or Nissan NV300 (currently still Primastar) its Fiat counterpart is immediately the name Talento. He is to replace the Scudo and bridge the gap between the Doblò cargo and the Ducato.

Gap filler with familiar names

Moment? Talento? Yes, the name is not new. The late of 1980s and early 1990s there was already a Talento at Fiat. At that time sold the Ducato under this name the first generation short wheelbase. The now presented Talento emerged as the Opel Vivaro, also since 2001 in cooperation with the Renault-Nissan group. For this reason, the vans from Nissan, Opel and Renault are nearly identical. Fiat makes the trio now a Quartet.

Diesel engines with up to 145 HP

The Talento is available as bus Windows or as a pickup truck with a loading area as a closed transporter. The engine line-up includes only diesel generators, which are ventilated with one or two turbochargers. The maximum power output is technical data to drive up to 145 HP., Fiat does not deliver performance, fuel consumption, as well as figures on the volume of cargo space so far yet. This data will be however similar by the relationship between the models of Nissan, Opel and Renault. The market launch in Germany is planned for June 2016. Prices should be given until then also known. (ml)
